The birthday card, with a representative from every Lavant village organisation, represented 23 groups and organisations.
The idea for the personal birthday card came from Lavant Parish Council chairman Ian Hutton and villager Michael Burton. Lavant villagers, being a modest population, were asked to meet at the Memorial Hall while the sun was shining.
The groups represented included the parish council, Women’s Institute, the Memorial Hall, Parochial Church Council, Lavant Toddler Group, Royal British Legion, Lavant Friendly Club, Gardens of Lavant, St Wilfred’s Hospice Support Group, football club, cricket club, Lavant Players, Lavant News, The Royal Yacht Britannia – J Sharrod, Lavant Valley Allotment Association, Neighbourhood Watch, Lavant Open House, horticultural society, Lavant Volunteers, Lavant House School, Lavant Primary School, Friends of Lavant Primary School and Lavant House Stables.
