Former Brighton & Hove Albion promotion-winning captain calls time on his career

Former Albion captain Gordon Greer has announced his retirement after a 19-year playing career.

Greer skippered Brighton to the League One title under Gus Poyet in the 2010/11 season and played for the club for six years.

He made 234 appearances for the Seagulls and scored five goals, after joining from Swindon.
