I had to run for 100 miles - so I ran up and down my street 1,350 times
Centurion Running specialises in providing fully marked and supported trail ultra marathons in the United Kingdom, including 50-mile and 100-mile events.
Eastbourne Sports Park track is the finish line for the South Downs Way 50-mile and 100-mile races that take place each year. Over the past eight years a number of runners from Eastbourne-based Run Wednesdays have completed the Centurion events and have specialised in ultra running.

Runners could earn medals for completing distances from 5k to 100 miles. Nineteen runners from Run Wednesdays joined runners from a far afield as Malta, the Phillippines and Slovenia to gain their Centurion medal.
Congratulations to all of the clubs successful runners, including Danny Garbett (Run Wednesdays founder and coach), Leigh Baker, Jade da Silva, Adam Mansbridge, Sureyya Kurtay, Wayne Langley, Donna Warren, Richard Gardiner, Janice Gillam, Emma Trenners, Chris Lamour, Nick Jameson-Allen, Helen Chatterton, Jaqueline R-K, Rebecca Holland, Mark Fox, Sarah Case and Fenella Maloney.
Special mention goes to Steve Offord who completed his 100-mile distance by running down the road and back from his front door. He has previously completed a 100-mile Centurion race but saw this as a new experience.

Run Wednesdays welcomes new and experienced runners. Many of the Run Wednesdays team completing the virtual event were new to ultra running and were able to be supported throughout by more experienced runners.
If you would like to start running, or get back to running, whatever the distance please see the Run Wednesdays Facebook page for more details.
