Sussex Polo junior team are national champions
This year, the event for under-11 year-olds was contested by sixteen top teams all riding 'fluffy' ponies of under 13.2 hands.
It was the Sussex Polo-based Old Surrey & Burstow Pony Club Goblins who won the championships this summer following a clear run to the semi finals.

Hide AdThat turned out to be a nail-biting affair when both teams had good scoring opportunities but goals were saved by good defence rather than attacking errors.
However, in the last minute Terence Lent (10), who lives in Crawley Down, slotted in an under the neck shot from 40 yards at the narrowest of angles to give the Goblins victor and their place in the final.
